The Rules of Wrekin North Riding Club
Where possible classes will be judged under BSJA or Riding Club rules.
Hard hats of BS1384 or PAS015 or prefixed with ASTM or SEI standard are strongly recommended.
Hard hats must be worn whenever mounted or doing in-hand class with a correctly fitted three point chinstrap. Riders who do not adhere to this rule will be dismissed from their class.
It is recommended that body protectors of BETA standard 2 or above are worn & Show Jacket.
No galloping around the showground. Horses must be under control at all times.
No Jumping of equipment while being put away.
Horses known to kick must wear a red ribbon in their tails.
All entries to be taken on the day.
No entries will be accepted without payment.
Concession rates for members will only be given on the production of a current membership card.
All cheques to be made payable to Wrekin North Riding Club with name and address on reverse.
No liability will be accepted by the committee or organisers for accidents, damage, injury or illness to any persons, animals or property whatsoever.
The committee reserve the right to refuse entry at any time or to refuse to refund an entry fee without giving reason.
The committee reserve the right to cancel, amalgamate or change any class without giving reason.
The judges decision is final IN ALL CLASSES.
Any objections must be made in writing to the show secretary within twenty minutes of the incident accompanied by a deposit of £15.00, which will be forfeited if the decision is overruled.
Excessive use of whip, spurs or particularly rough handling will lead to dismissal from the class.
NO SPURS ALLOWED IN CLASSES 8-11.
No horse to be ridden under 4 years of age
No horse can compete more than once in a class.
Non-competitive entries will not qualify for a jump off.
Horses which have been in contact with an infectious disease must not attend any event.
Current vaccination certificates and passports may be asked for.
Juniors are taken to be 16 years and under from the 1st January 2011.
Dogs to be kept on a lead at all times, all dog fouling to be cleaned up & removed by the owner.
Liability for damage caused by dogs rests with the owner.
No dog is to be left in a hot car or appropriate action will be taken.
Do not drop litter on the showground and take all rubbish home with you.
Do not muck out horse boxes or trailers on the showground.
If on the lead rein, then that pony/rider combination must remain on the lead rein all day for all classes, except for Class 8B
You cannot compete in Pony Ring Classes 9, 10, 11 and 12, or Horse Ring Classes 1, 2 and 3, if the horse and rider combination has won a trophy in that class by being placed first 3 times.
ABUSE OF JUDGE OR OTHER COMPETITOR AND THE COMPETITOR OR SPECTATOR WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE GROUND AND MAY HAVE THEIR MEMBERSHIP SUSPENDED.
